Etihad Airways and Swarovski bling up their first class amenity kits


Etihad Airways goes bling, and we definitely approve. The national airline of the United Arab Emirates has just launched a new amenity kits for male and female passengers travelling in First class on flights between Abu Dhabi and the following destinations: London; Paris; Geneva; Sydney; and Melbourne. The new kit will be unveiled in the following weeks and will include for women — a fashionable black cosmetic purse detailed with crystals by Swarovski and products from luxury brand La Prairie including a moisturiser, hand cream and lip balm; and for men — an exclusive black leather cufflink box with amenities such as a shaving kit with Schick Xtreme 3 razor and shaving cream. Millennium & Copthorne brings Hollywood’s iconic ‘Biltmore’ to Abu Dhabi


Hollywood’s prestigious The Biltmore, is expanding to the Middle East. The hotel, a favorite among stars like Jack Nicholson and Warren Beatty is now owned by Millennium & Copthorne hotels, who have announced their first management agreement for a Biltmore Hotel in MENA in the Al Bateen area of Abu Dhabi. The property which is in its design phase is expected to be opening its doors in 2013. Just like the original Biltmore Hotel in Hollywood, the Biltmore Abu Dhabi will be an art deco design icon, exuding opulent luxury and style. Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa opens its new Indian Ocean hideaway


The Hyatt has opened its first property in the Maldives with the Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa. Located 400 kms south of Male International Airport in one of the deepest and least disturbed southern atolls of the Indian Ocean, it was re-branded as Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa on April 1, 2011, after originally opening in late 2009 as Alila Villas Hadahaa. Designed by theaward-winning firm of SCDA Architects in Singapore, the recluse showcases contemporary interiors include natural timber and stone. Fourteen of the resort’s 50 villas stand regally over the Indian Ocean with an uninterrupted view and is easily converted into a getaway for guests who yearn for tranquillity. The other 36 villas feature gardens with outdoor baths, rainshowers and individual plunge pools. The resort will feature two speciality restaurants, The Dining Room and Battuta’s, as well as The Bar, a poolside lounge-style bar and 24-hour in-villa dining. As with all Park Hyatt’s, the resort will feature a Spa and a Fitness Centre with five couples’ treatment rooms offering traditional Balinese, Thai and Indian treatments. Postindulgence, guests can take a dip in the Spa Pool within the tranquil spa enclave. Other leisure activities can be arranged through the resort’s Activity Centre, ranging from kayaking, snorkelling and diving to Maldivian cooking lessons, equator crossings, dolphin spotting, sunset cruises and guided visits to local artisan villages.
