The Swissotel chain of hotels is taking your fitness seriously as it launches fitness equipment in guest rooms in hotels around the world. The hotel company launched its ‘Vitality’ program, in an effort to encourage guests to stay healthy on the road, will allow guests to order gym equipments to be set up in their rooms. Equipment options include a Swiss ball, Aero Step, yoga mats, Thera-Bands, or Pilates rings. For those who prefer outdoors activities, the hotel company can now arrange guided walks or jogging tours, as well as games evenings featuring Chess contests, Scrabble, Monopoly and backgammon to encourage ‘mental fitness’.

Second St Regis Abu Dhabi set to debut this year

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc will continue its global growth of the ultra-luxury St Regis brand with the highly-anticipated St Regis Abu Dhabi. Scheduled to debut later this year, the brand’s second hotel in the emirate will be located in the heart of Abu Dhabi on the vibrant Corniche offering captivating waterfront views of the Arabian Gulf. The St Regis Abu Dhabi will be part of Nation Towers, a two-tower mixed-use development located within the buzzing business and administrative hub, near embassies and the presidential palace. Westin to revamp its health facilities for all its properties

People today, are very serious about their health and well being. InterCon returns to Russia with the grand InterContinental Moscow Tverskaya

InterContinental Hotels Group’s (IHG) luxury brand returns to Russia after a decade away with the opening of InterContinental Moscow Tverskaya on December 5, 2011. The Bellagio gives rooms a $70m new look

The Bellagio in Las Vegas, Nevada has unveiled its $70 million main tower guest rooms. Bellagio completed the remodel of all 2,568 rooms, which have been equipped with a host of new amenities such as a cashmere-clad mattress and mounted flat-screen televisions measuring 40 inches. The rooms now also incorporate organic wool carpeting as well as eucalyptus furniture pieces, which reaps energy savings of 60 per cent. Further, the rooms sport three different styles and color schemes. The Resort King rooms have been adorned in a blend of indigo and silver hues or in a green tea and plum tone combination. The facility’s Resort Queen Rooms don amber and butterscotch-hued motif. The three patterns also offer the Lakeview option to provide glimpses of the Fountains of Bellagio. Created by the talented team at MGM Resorts International Design Group, the new rooms reflect an updated, elegant feel pairing modern conveniences with the warmth of home. Three unique designs elicit a distinct sensibility based on the colors and patterns utilized throughout each concept.
